Echinoderms - SEA CUCUMBERS

Sea Cucumbers are related to the seastars and urchins. They have tiny suction feet with a water vascular system but their symetry isnt as obvious with this group as it is with other echinoderms. In some parts of the world they are dried and eaten. This dark coloured one is from the tropical waters of Qld on the Barrier Reef.
This sea cucumber is using its suction feet to hold onto the glass of the tank that it is in. This is a Victorian variety from temperate waters.
