Brolgas

This first photo of brolgas was taken in 2004 at Lake Connewarre in Vic, the first time they have bred there for many years. Brolgas were once a lot more common in Victoria than they are now. The following photos were taken much further north in Queensland.







In 2006 we drove to Cape Tribulation in far north Qld and then across the Savannah Way to Karumba at the bottom of the Gulf of Carpentaria. During the year before we were there, there was a cyclone that had left alot of wetlands full of water. We saw Brolgas in lots of places as we travelled.
